Members of the KUD Stari grad Lukavec went on a tour in Spain, participating in the International Folklore Festival in Lloret de Mar.
It was an opportunity to make new acquaintances and showcase Croatian folklore heritage through song, dance and tambura music. Walking through the streets of Lloret, the Lukavec performers attracted attention with their highly valuable costumes from the Turopolje region.
During the Festival evening, where 22 groups from various European countries performed, they represented Turopolje through its authentic songs and dances. As a part of the tour, the members visited the Consulate of the Republic of Croatia in the Kingdom of Spain in Barcelona, where they were received by the honorary consul Dr. Ivana Herak. Travelling by bus also allowed them to explore other cities, such as Nice, Monte Carlo and Verona. This trip, along with contributions from many other donors, was made possible by a generous donation from PalcoNutrifit.
